Ubair Javaid is the CEO of Nomyx, a platform focused on tokenization infrastructure for enterprises. His background includes leadership roles across blockchain, AIoT, and cloud-based systems, with work spanning consulting, telecommunications, and digital asset infrastructure development. [3]
Javaid graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 2014. [1]
Javaid began his career in engineering, technology, and business development roles in Australia. In 2013, he worked as an engineering intern at PTE Hydraulics before serving as a Microsoft Brand Ambassador and later as a Business Development Manager at Autotask Corporation, where he focused on software-as-a-service solutions and channel sales. Between 2013 and 2015, he also co-hosted Know Idea!, a science and technology radio program on Brisbane community station 4ZZZ, covering developments in engineering, computing, and scientific research.
In 2015, Javaid joined Panasonic Avionics Corporation as a Field Engineer supporting in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems for airline customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the following seven years, he held a series of increasingly senior positions, including Field Engineer I and II, Senior Field Engineer, Regional Manager of Engineering for the Americas, and Senior Technical Account Manager for Satellite Connectivity. His responsibilities included deploying and maintaining aircraft connectivity systems, managing engineering teams, overseeing large-scale fleet technology programs, and supporting commercial relationships with major airlines. He also contributed to initiatives in satellite communications, network optimization, analytics, machine-learning applications, and operational improvements for connected aviation services.
Alongside his work in aviation technology, Javaid became active in blockchain and digital asset ventures. In 2020, he founded BairBack Consulting, a company focused on cryptocurrency mining infrastructure, hardware deployment, and blockchain consulting. The business later became part of NextBlock, where he served as Chief Technology Officer from 2021 to 2023. At NextBlock, he led teams developing blockchain applications, tokenization initiatives, and enterprise Web3 products, including projects involving tokenized real-world assets. During the same period, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Radair, where he oversaw technology strategy and the development of platforms that combined cloud infrastructure, machine learning, Internet of Things technologies, and blockchain-based systems.
Since 2023, Javaid has served as co-founder and chief executive officer of Nomyx, a company focused on tokenization infrastructure and digital asset management platforms. Concurrently, he has served as Director of Technology Development at Daigle Labs, contributing to projects involving blockchain technology, Internet of Things systems, and emerging technologies. His recent work has centered on enterprise blockchain adoption, tokenized asset platforms, and the integration of distributed ledger technologies into commercial and industrial applications. [2] Â
At TokenizeThis 2025 in June, Javaid participated in a panel discussion alongside Andre Czupek of Northern Trust and Ric Golubov of Franklin Templeton, moderated by Eleanor Terrett of Crypto In America, focused on the development of digital asset infrastructure for financial institutions. The discussion centered on how major financial institutions have been building and deploying scalable blockchain-based systems to support the tokenization of assets such as private equity, carbon credits, and other alternative investments. The panelists described efforts to reduce operational complexity by developing platforms that abstract blockchain mechanics while integrating compliance, reconciliation, and asset lifecycle management, enabling clients to interact with tokenized assets through familiar, brokerage-style interfaces.
The conversation also addressed growing institutional demand for tokenized products, driven by efficiency improvements, expanded access to traditionally illiquid asset classes, and increasing regulatory clarity across jurisdictions. Key challenges discussed included interoperability between blockchain networks and legacy financial systems, data consistency across distributed infrastructure, and the lack of unified standards for digital identity and compliance frameworks. The panel concluded with a forward-looking view that tokenization would continue to expand across asset classes, supported by improved cross-chain liquidity, greater standardization, and further convergence between traditional financial infrastructure and blockchain-based systems.
