KGeN is a blockchain-based verified-human data network founded in 2022 to connect authenticated contributors with artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories, gaming projects, and other applications. The project initially focused on verified distribution and rewards for Web3 campaigns; it later expanded its emphasis to collecting multimodal human data for training physical AI systems and large language models (LLMs). KGe nbN was created by Kratos Labs and is also known as Kratos Gamer Network.[1][2]
KGeN’s original model was designed to help blockchain projects reach verified users and distribute campaign rewards to people rather than bots or automated accounts. Its verification and distribution tools supported activities across games, consumer applications, and decentralized finance protocols.[2]
The project’s current positioning centers on sourcing real-world data from verified contributors for AI and robotics. KGeN says this data can expose models to variation in language, culture, age, gender, activity, and environmental conditions that may be difficult to reproduce with synthetic data. The network is intended to serve AI laboratories and robotics teams seeking firsthand human data for model training and evaluation.[3][4][5]
KGeN’s corporate profile gives its founding year as 2022 and lists an acquisition by Kratos Gamer Network on February 23, 2023. The profile also identifies indi guild pvt. ltd. and indigg among the company’s aliases.[1]
KGeN’s VeriFi system is presented as a framework for confirming that contributors are human and establishing provenance for their activity and data. The project describes a Verified Reputation System that records contributor-level provenance on-chain and assesses authenticity, participation, skills, commerce, and social reputation. KGeN documentation identifies r-KGeN, KGEN, and the Kratos Stack among the project’s components.[3][4][6]
In its earlier verified-distribution model, KGeN used the term Proof of Genuine Engagement (POGE) for a score that could qualify users for campaign tasks and rewards. The protocol guide describes verification as combining on-chain and off-chain information, including cryptographic attestations, social proofs, and behavioral data. It also describes validators using Proof-of-Verification logic to confirm campaign participation.[2][7]
KGeN’s reputation system has been described as generating scores across five dimensions: proof of human status, participation, skill, commerce, and social network. An oracle network is used to support the verification process. The project says users can earn rewards by contributing data or completing tasks while retaining control over exposure of their personal data.[6]
KGeN describes its AI-data collection as covering six modalities from the same verified contributor: voice and audio, images, video, text, sensor data, and interaction. The project says it uses VeriFi to establish human status and records contributor-level data provenance on-chain.[3]
The collected material is intended to capture everyday tasks in varied real-world settings. Examples presented by KGeN include household activities such as folding clothes, washing dishes, making beds, and chopping, as well as automobile repair, commercial packing, and human-animal interaction. The company has also highlighted how the same task can differ according to setting, lighting, shadows, and available space. Its examples include contributors and recordings associated with countries such as Vietnam, Nigeria, India, Brazil, and Argentina.[3][8]
KGeN says its data covers differences in languages, dialects, accents, tones, acoustic conditions, ages, genders, and cultures, as well as work and domestic settings including manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and construction. In February 2026, the company said it had developed tools for collecting multi-speaker audio at scale, including conversations, meetings, and multi-turn dialogue, rather than relying only on scripted single-speaker recordings.[3][1]
KGeN’s website reports more than 24 million egocentric episodes, over 100,000 hours of voice data, and coverage of more than 33 languages and 2,990 cities. It also displays more than 80,000 “clans,” approximately 120 million AI-relevant attributes, and country-coverage figures that include both more than 100 countries and 60-plus countries. Separate sections display validation figures of 80% and 96%.[3]
KGeN’s earlier distribution protocol was designed to help Web3 projects identify verified users, manage campaign participation, and direct rewards. Developers could use application programming interfaces (APIs) or software development kits (SDKs) for user verification, reward distribution, and engagement analytics. Users could complete activities such as testing games or providing feedback in exchange for rKGEN or K-Points, which the protocol guide says could later be converted to KGEN.[2]
The protocol guide describes KGeN as operating on Aptos and using its Move-based architecture. It reports more than 190 ecosystem partners as of the fourth quarter of 2025, including decentralized applications, publishers, analytics tools, gaming guilds, and decentralized finance and social applications. YGG SEA is named as a gaming alliance whose guilds used KGeN’s verification layer to direct rewards to active players.[2]
KGeN’s stated development roadmap included completion of a testnet and an initial Verified Distribution SDK release in the second and third quarters of 2025, followed by a planned Mainnet Beta expansion and cross-chain data integration targeting Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility in the fourth quarter of 2025. The roadmap also listed a governance decentralized autonomous organization, staking v2, and a developer dashboard for 2026. These items were presented as roadmap objectives.[2]
KGEN is KGeN’s token, with a stated fixed total supply of one billion. The project identifies its roles as rewards, settlement, and reputation scoring; its documentation also associates the token with staking and governance. KGeN says staking can provide governance participation, ecosystem revenue sharing, and rewards.[9][7][2]
A 2025 tokenomics account listed allocations of 40% for ecosystem and rewards, 20% for the team and early contributors, 15% for investors, and 25% for community and reserves. It described team and early-contributor allocations as subject to long-term vesting and noted that investor and team unlocks could affect token volatility. The same account reported approximately 198.6 million tokens in circulation as of October 2025.[2]
KGeN’s later tokenomics materials report 265.6 million KGEN in circulation and say no new tokens are planned in the near term, with unlocks described as quarterly and forecastable. The project identifies two sources of token demand: buy-and-remove supply reduction and buy-and-hold staking.[9]
KGeN’s Genesis Burn retired 22 million KGEN tokens at launch, an amount equal to 2.2% of the stated total supply. The project says the tokens came from unclaimed airdrop allocations and unsold node-sale tokens, which it characterized as pools with no beneficial owner; it described the retirement as neither a sale nor a treasury or team-token transfer, and said it had no cash cost. The company called it the largest single supply retirement in the protocol’s history.[3][9][5]
KGeN’s ledger lists a retirement dated June 3, 2026, at 02:49 UTC, with an amount of 21,999,999 KGEN. Its supply monitor reports 22 million retired and 978 million remaining, and gives the retirement as approximately 8.28% of circulating supply. A June 4, 2026, announcement described the same amount as 10% of circulating supply.[9][5]
KGeN 2.0 links revenue from AI-data contracts to recurring token purchases and retirements. Under the mechanism described by the project, a contribution-margin amount from AI-laboratory contracts is used for on-chain KGEN purchases, after which the tokens are permanently retired through a smart contract. KGeN says the process is automatic, governed by code, and publicly verifiable.[9][5]
The project says its ledger is intended to record retirement dates, amounts, source contracts, and transaction hashes. It has described quarterly transparency updates covering audited revenue and treasury position. KGeN reported AI revenue of $1.8 million per year at the time of its tokenomics materials and set a target of $10 million per year by the end of 2027, as AI revenue scales toward $50 million in annual recurring revenue.[9]
KGeN has reported different network-size figures across its materials. Its documentation and a March 2026 investor update cited 61.9 million users across more than 60 countries; a later CoinMarketCap overview reported more than 80 million contributors across more than 60 countries. KGeN describes its AI-data division as supplying verified human data for pre-training, reinforcement learning, preference modeling, model evaluation, and dataset creation.[4][5][7]
The company’s March 2026 investor update cited $85.8 million in annualized platform revenue and a target of $150 million by December 2027. KGeN separately said AI-related revenue was on a path to $50 million in annual recurring revenue by December 2027. These figures refer to platform revenue and the AI-related business, respectively.[5]
KGeN said that contributors earned more than $3.4 million during the two months preceding October 6, 2026, and that the earnings went directly to contributors. On October 15, 2026, the company reported that its 1,000 highest-earning contributors had collectively earned more than $100,000 in seven days by recording real-world data for physical-AI training.[8]
On October 12, 2026, KGeN announced that KGEN had been listed on the Korean-won market of South Korean exchange Bithumb. Earlier, on October 7, 2025, Binance introduced KGEN/USDT perpetual futures and spot listings through Binance Alpha and ran an airdrop campaign for users with Alpha Points. The 2025 campaign had two phases, with the minimum points threshold reduced from 210 to 190 in the second phase.[8][2]
KGeN’s profile lists a $6 million seed round dated January 19, 2022, a $20 million seed round dated February 1, 2023, a BRL 55 million venture round dated November 1, 2024, and a $13 million venture round dated September 1, 2025. A separate account describes a $13.5 million strategic round closed in early October 2025, led by Prosus Ventures with participation from Jump Crypto and Accel, and says the capital was intended to support expansion in Asia and Latin America.[1][2]
KGeN names Accel, Prosus Ventures, and Jump among its backers. Its documentation and company materials also identify Aptos Foundation and Polygon among its backers.[8][4][1]
