Forrest Liu is an entrepreneur and the founder of Opinion Labs, a Hong Kong–based company behind Opinion, a decentralized prediction market platform.[1]
Forrest went to Columbia University in the City of New York. [3]
Opinion Labs is the company Liu founded to build Opinion, a decentralized prediction market platform. Prediction markets let participants trade on the outcomes of future events, with prices that function as a running estimate of how likely each outcome is. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong.[1]
The company first surfaced publicly in 2024, when it announced its initial O.LAB Prediction Closed Beta Tradathon. At that stage it already identified itself as backed by YZi Labs, the investment firm then known as Binance Labs.[1]
The Opinion platform launched on BNB Chain exclusively in October 2025. In a January 2026 article titled "Opinion 2026: The Multiplayer Internet," pinned to Liu's account, the project stated that since its launch in late October 2025 it had grown into what it described as a top-tier global prediction market.[2][1]
Under Liu, the platform has positioned itself around esports markets. In February 2026, his account amplified a claim that Opinion was shaping price discovery in competitive gaming, specifically in KPL (the Honor of Kings league) and in the LPL and LCK League of Legends competitions, asserting higher trading volume, tighter spreads, and deeper in-play liquidity than competitors, citing a KPL match between LGD.NBW and TCG as an example.[2] The platform has also publicized a realized profit-and-loss feature in its trading history, a statistic that tracks closed-position gains and losses rather than only total profit.[2]
