Vitalum is a healthcare technology project that combines artificial intelligence (AI), telemedicine, and blockchain-based tools to connect patients, healthcare professionals, and service providers. Its whitepaper presents an ecosystem initially focused on dentistry, while a later lite paper describes a broader healthcare platform centered on AI products, including the Pharmia AI assistant. The project also describes VAM, a utility token intended for payments and participation in its ecosystem, as a token on Binance Smart Chain (BSC).[1][2][3]
Vitalum’s whitepaper frames its dental-healthcare platform as a way to improve affordability and access, connect fragmented services, and reduce intermediaries in payments and supply chains. It proposes linking patients, dentists, clinics, manufacturers, suppliers, and educators through a cloud-hosted web and smartphone application, with services spanning clinical care, procurement, education, and payments. The project cites high treatment costs, unequal geographic access, fragmented patient records, insurance restrictions, and clinic and supply-chain expenses as problems it aims to address.[1]
The whitepaper also describes dental tourism as an example of geographic price and access differences, citing UK patients traveling to Poland and patients from the United States traveling to Mexico for dental care. Its proposed platform would let patients find nearby practices, receive advance cost estimates, and seek teledentistry consultations where available.[1]
The lite paper presents Vitalum as an AI-native healthcare technology company whose products are intended to connect patients with professionals and help providers with diagnostics and workflow management. It identifies Pharmia AI as the flagship product and describes a wider suite of dental imaging, treatment-planning, laboratory, and supply-management tools.[2]
Pharmia AI is described as a healthcare assistant and digital front door through which patients can ask for guidance and answers. When further support is needed, it connects patients with doctors and dentists; providers can register to receive referrals. Vitalum says the service is available around the clock and is intended to improve access where professionals are limited, reduce waiting times, build patient trust, and help providers grow their practices.[2]
Vitalum proposed an online marketplace and shop, associated in the whitepaper with Implex Dental and the Implex Medical Shop, for dental supplies, materials, and equipment. Purchases would be possible with VAM or Implex, and the project proposed direct manufacturer-to-clinic shipping, affiliate marketing, and dropshipping.[1]
The proposed marketplace would require suppliers to have regulatory clearances and independent quality-control processes. Product records could link to ISO certifications, U.S. Food and Drug Administration approvals, and other documentation to support provenance and traceability. Vitalum also proposed recording which materials were used for individual patients, in part to help identify material-related allergies, and using inventory quantities and expiration dates to improve purchasing and production estimates.[1]
The dental AI system would analyze intraoral photographs, X-rays, panoramic images, and CBCT scans to assist with disease detection and treatment planning. For patients, it would identify dental issues, offer preventive recommendations, and display treatment options with costs, duration, illustrative before-and-after images, and nearby registered Vitalum dentists. Listed detection targets included fissures, fillings, calculus, stains, decay, cavities, impacted teeth, and orthodontic mini-screws.[1]
For practitioners, the proposal included AI-generated dental charts identifying missing, healthy, previously treated, and unhealthy teeth; CBCT multiplanar views; and support for diagnosing caries, periodontal disease, oral cancer, and orthodontic conditions. It also proposed PDF reports for patients, other providers, or insurers, as well as remote monitoring and a shared “collective brain” trained on a large image dataset.[1] [2]
Vitalum identifies $VAM as a utility token intended for use within its healthcare ecosystem, including payments for dental, cosmetic, and some medical services and purchases. The whitepaper proposes using VAM for marketplace transactions and discounts for patients and dentists, while the CoinMarketCap profile describes access mechanisms, staking incentives, and governance alignment as uses within the network.[1][3]
