Tony Jin

Tony Jin is a software engineer and technology executive with a background in software development, engineering management, and infrastructure. He is the Co-Founder and CTO of and , and previously held engineering leadership roles at Jump Crypto, Twitch, and Box. [4] [5]

Education

Jin graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Computer Science. At Stanford, he was a software engineer intern at Sheyna, Inc. and an associate technology manager intern at Google. [1]​

Career

Jin began his career as a Software Engineer at Box, working on full-stack projects involving sharing and collaboration, A/B testing, navigation, and Box Preview. He later became a Senior Software Engineer, where he helped rebuild Box Preview as a modular JavaScript library and worked on Box Annotations. He was subsequently promoted to Staff Software Engineer and Manager, leading the Preview and Elements team while continuing to contribute technically to its software projects. Jin joined Twitch as Director of Engineering, where he led the Video Clients team responsible for video player and broadcasting SDKs for Twitch and Amazon Interactive Video Service. He then became an Engineering Manager at Jump Crypto, supporting engineering teams working on , a blockchain interoperability protocol. In 2023, he joined as Co-Founder and CTO, building software and infrastructure for interoperability. He later co-founded , where he serves as CTO and works on infrastructure for bringing assets to . In 2023, Jin co-founded with and , a cross-chain messaging protocol that enables communication between different networks. functions as a communication layer connecting separate ecosystems, allowing applications to transfer data, assets, and governance actions across chains without requiring the networks themselves to share the same infrastructure. The protocol uses a decentralized Guardian network to validate and sign cross-chain messages, while its infrastructure includes asset-transfer protocols, developer tools, and transaction-monitoring services that support multichain applications. is not a or conventional token bridge, but it provides infrastructure for a range of cross-chain applications, including asset transfers and operating across multiple networks.
