Jerry Pan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied from 2020 to 2022. Career

Prior to founding o1.exchange, Pan was a founding AI engineer at Iris, contributing to the development of technologies related to knowledge graphs, structured data retrieval, query processing, and machine learning infrastructure. The company was later acquired by Glean. He also participated in the inaugural AI Venture Fellow program at Bain Capital Ventures.
Earlier in his career, Pan worked as a software engineer at Databricks, focusing on machine learning and data monitoring systems. He additionally held research and engineering positions at organizations including Twitter, Google, Berkeley RISE Lab, Berkeley Sky Lab, Blues Lab, Sophon Tec, and the University of Cambridge, where his work spanned machine learning, cloud computing, privacy technologies, blockchain applications, and computer systems research.
