Liang co-founded Blueprint Finance, where he serves as chief strategy officer (CSO). The company develops decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure for digital assets. Profiles on RootData and Me.sh date the beginning of his role to November 2022, while his LinkedIn profile lists January 2023.
Through Blueprint Finance, Liang co-founded Concrete Protocol, which provides smart-contract infrastructure for ERC-4626 single-asset vaults. Under this model, users deposit assets into vaults and receive proportional shares. The vaults allocate deposited assets through modular strategy contracts to DeFi yield venues. Factory contracts are used to deploy vaults, while optional hooks can impose conditions on user operations. Concrete Protocol supplies the underlying vault infrastructure, which is also used by Concrete's yield-infrastructure platform and Concrete Enterprise to provide vault products deployed with partners.
In February 2024, Liang stated that the company was developing concrete.xyz as an application-specific blockchain, also known as an appchain, for DeFi. Concrete's activities include developing vault infrastructure for on-chain finance and working with qualified custodians, including BitGo, to support yield generation on digital assets. The company's enterprise profile identifies Liang as CSO.
In June 2025, Liang announced Blueprint Finance's Series A funding round. He reported that the company had processed more than $1 billion in deposits and served over 34,000 customers since its launch. He also stated that the funding would be used to support the company's growth. In a post dated June 23, 2025, YZi Labs was identified as an investor in Blueprint Finance, with its investment linked to the development of multichain liquidity solutions. Liang's profile lists Polychain, VanEck, YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, Portal Ventures, SALT, Tribe Capital, and Hashed among the company's investors. The profile reports total company funding of $17 million.
Concrete's event profiles published different figures for the platform's activity. The WebX Asia profile reported more than $800 million in total value locked (TVL) and over $15 billion in processed volume. The Ethereum Capital Summit profile reported more than $1 billion in TVL, over $20 billion in volume, and more than 50,000 users. Both profiles listed Polychain, YZi Labs, and VanEck among the company's investors.
In June 2025, Liang announced that Luke Hajdukiewicz had joined Blueprint Finance as chief growth officer. He also shared an episode of the Thinking Crypto podcast that discussed Blueprint Finance and its work on institutional DeFi across Ethereum and Solana. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]
