Amos Meiri is an Israeli entrepreneur and investor who has worked in the cryptocurrency industry since its early years, building products across digital currencies, civic engagement, blockchain infrastructure, and artificial intelligence (AI). He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of AntSeed, a peer-to-peer marketplace for AI inference, and a founding partner at the crypto-focused investment firm Node Capital.[1][2]
Meiri studied at the College of Management Israel between 2007 and 2010, where he participated in a program called "My Influence" for excellent students.[2] Before founding his own ventures, he spent roughly two years at the online trading platform eToro, where he managed the company's dealing department. A former colleague described him in a recommendation as "a born-entrepreneur overflowing with brilliant ideas and a vision to challenge and change the financial world," noting his early enthusiasm for Bitcoin and his connections within the Bitcoin community.[2]
Meiri co-founded Colu in 2014 and served as its chief executive officer from December 2014 to May 2021, a tenure of six years and five months, after which he moved into the role of chairman in June 2021.[2] Colu began as a digital wallet that used blockchain technology to create local currencies, a positioning Meiri highlighted in 2018 when he quoted the description of "a digital wallet that uses blockchain technology to create local currencies."[2]
The practical effect of Colu's local-economy approach appeared in Meiri's public posts. In November 2019 he reported that the company and the Tel Aviv municipality had channeled 1.8 million shekels to small and medium-sized businesses in Jaffa while the area was disrupted by construction of the city's light rail.[2]
After stepping back from day-to-day leadership of Colu, Meiri shifted toward investing and advising crypto ventures. In August 2021 he became a founding partner at Node Capital, where his role is categorized under general management at partner level.[2] Since April 2021 he has also served as an advisor to Zengo, a cryptocurrency wallet provider, in a consulting capacity.[2]
Meiri's investment activity is connected to a staking and restaking business operated under the name Node Monster. In September 2025 he announced that the business was seeking a head of business development, describing it as a profitable crypto operation growing 200 percent year over year and managing $2.5 billion in staking and restaking assets. Staking and restaking involve committing cryptocurrency to help secure blockchain networks in exchange for rewards. The posting sought candidates based in Israel or with validator business-development experience and at least four years in crypto business development generating millions of dollars in sales.[2] Across his portfolio companies, Meiri has publicly recruited for a range of roles, including marketing and product leaders with experience in token generation events, payments and blockchain integrations, and Ethereum infrastructure.[2]
Meiri's most recent venture is AntSeed, an open-source peer-to-peer marketplace for AI inference, where he serves as co-founder and chief executive officer.[4][1] AI inference refers to running already-trained AI models to generate outputs, as opposed to the earlier, more compute-intensive process of training them. AntSeed is a peer-to-peer AI model switching service that runs on a blockchain, letting participants buy and sell access to AI models on their own terms. Meiri has compared the concept to file-sharing, writing, "What BitTorrent did for files, we want to do for AI inference."[3][1]
The project is positioned as a decentralized alternative to OpenRouter, a service for routing requests among AI models, with AntSeed building the routing layer on top of a blockchain. Meiri has summarized the design as "open router without open router in the middle."[4][1] The comparison gained added relevance after Stripe acquired OpenRouter for more than $8 billion in August 2026.[1] Meiri has said that all of AntSeed's network revenue goes toward a "buy and burn" mechanism — using proceeds to purchase and permanently remove tokens from circulation — with no company capturing value for itself.[4]
Meiri discussed AntSeed and the broader market for AI inference in an interview published by The Rollup on July 6, 2026, titled "AntSeed Founder: The AI Inference Boom That Is Set To Explode (Here's Why)." In the conversation, he argued that inference is becoming "the new oil" and suggested that companies will increasingly hedge their inference costs in the way airlines hedge jet fuel prices, protecting themselves against volatility in a critical input.[4]
