Alex Cavallero

Alex Cavallero is the co-founder and chief operating officer of KiiChain, a blockchain project developing an onchain foreign-exchange (FX) network for emerging markets.^[1] Based in the New York City metropolitan area, he describes himself as a "TradFi turned DeFi enthusiast," reflecting a background in traditional finance and investment management that preceded his work in decentralized finance.^[2]​^[3]

Cavallero earned a Bachelor of Science, awarded Cum Laude, from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where he completed a double major in Marketing and Finance.^[3][4] While at the university he was a three-year captain of the men's varsity soccer team.^[3]

Career

Alex Cavallero's professional career includes roles in private equity, business development, pharmaceutical fulfillment, digital asset trading, and blockchain infrastructure. He began his career in 2011 as an Investment Associate at BBC Management, where he worked until 2015. During 2014 and 2015, he also held a Strategy and Business Development position at Cavallero Plastics, Inc. In 2015, he co-founded BiioSmart Technologies and served as its Chief Operating Officer. He became a partner at Inmersión Capital in 2020 and later joined Kii Global as a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer.

Cavallero worked as an Investment Associate at BBC Management from 2011 to 2015. The firm operated as a growth capital private equity fund.

Cavallero Plastics, Inc.

From 2014 to 2015, Cavallero worked in Strategy and Business Development at Cavallero Plastics, Inc. The company operated as a custom injection molder and mold builder specializing in thermoplastics.
