Buscaino attended the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2018, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Marshall School of Business. Career

Raquel Buscaino has spent her entire professional career at Deloitte, beginning with a role as a Consulting Intern from June to August 2017. She joined the firm full-time in September 2018 as a Blockchain & Digital Assets Consultant. In this capacity, she specialized in the development and strategy of blockchain consortiums and conducted global workshops on blockchain technology for both Deloitte personnel and its clients.

In June 2020, Buscaino transitioned to Deloitte's Novel & Exponential Technologies (NExT) team, initially serving as a Futurist and Consultant. Her responsibilities grew within the group, and in November 2021, she was promoted to Emerging Tech & Foresight Lead. Since September 2023, she has held the position of NExT Leader. In her current capacity as a Manager within the Office of the CTO, she leads the NExT team's efforts to identify and analyze emerging technologies that are projected to have a significant business impact in ten or more years.

As the leader of the Novel & Exponential Technologies (NExT) team, Buscaino's work involves researching and interpreting the potential of highly advanced and ambiguous technological concepts. The team's stated objective is to "distill signal from noise, value from hype, and profitable actions from ambiguous concepts."
