Axis is a digital asset market infrastructure company that combines onchain smart contracts with offchain trading, custody, and risk-management operations. Its trading strategies include cross-exchange and cross-currency arbitrage, funding rate arbitrage, market making, and over-the-counter trading. USDx is backed by digital and tokenized assets, traditional assets, and related futures and hedging positions, while sUSDx lets eligible users share in trading returns through staking. Axis also operates Axis Prime, which serves fintech companies, brokerages, remittance providers, and other financial businesses by aggregating liquidity, routing trades, and supporting cross-asset conversions and settlement. Its infrastructure uses smart contracts to manage token issuance, redemption, staking, reward distribution, and access permissions, while trading and custody activities still rely partly on off-chain systems and counterparties.
