Early Life

During his university years, Cheong gained public recognition as a notable young investor and was featured on ChannelNews Asia. At Nanyang Technological University, he was actively involved in extracurricular activities related to finance, serving as the Vice President of the university's investment club. Cheong attended Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2012 to 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Economics and also completed a minor in Entrepreneurship. Career

Arthur Cheong began his career in traditional finance at the multinational oil and gas company BP. There, he participated in the Trader Development Program, a rotational program that provided experience across shipping, analytics, and trading functions. Cheong transitioned into the digital asset industry by joining JST Capital, a financial services firm focused on cryptocurrencies, where he served as a Cryptoasset Trading Strategist from June 2019 to September 2019. Following this, he took on the role of Vice President of Growth & Strategy at Zilliqa, a public blockchain project based in Singapore, from September 2019 to February 2020. His responsibilities at Zilliqa included leading strategic growth initiatives for the protocol, which focused on scalability and sharding. Cheong founded DeFiance Capital, where he serves as CEO and CIO. Under his leadership, the firm has become an active crypto venture fund specializing in DeFi and crypto gaming.
