InterLink is a human-centric blockchain project and self-described "Free Digital Asset Mining Platform" that ties each account to a verified individual and lets users accumulate digital assets from a mobile device. The project is built around an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)–compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed for real-world payments, tokenized assets, and digital commerce, and its stated purpose is to make digital assets accessible to people who lack a bank account, a Visa card, or a national ID.[1][2]
The project lists a physical address at 895 Dove Street, Suite 300, Newport Beach, California, and is developed by Interlink Labs, with long-term governance handled by the independent, non-profit InterLink Foundation.[1][2]
InterLink describes itself as a "Human Network," a decentralized infrastructure that binds each blockchain identity to a real, unique person rather than to an anonymous wallet.[3]
The project contrasts its model with "traditional blockchains where wallets are anonymous and easily replicated," arguing that binding identity to a verified human enables "sybil resistance, fair coordination, and trust-based applications across Web3." Sybil resistance refers to preventing a single actor from creating many fake accounts to manipulate a network.[3]
The platform positions itself for users who are excluded from conventional finance. The InterLink Foundation frames the project as a human-centric blockchain built to democratize access to global financial markets, including reaching people who do not have a bank account, a Visa card, or a national identity document.[2]
The project summarizes its approach with the attributes "Decentralized," "By design," "Human-Centric," and "Global Access."[2]
Access to the network is gated by invitation. According to the platform, new users join using an invite code from an existing member, after which they can begin mining digital assets for free. The company states that mining requires no hardware or setup, runs on mobile devices, does not drain the battery, and can be activated with "one tap."[1]
InterLink emphasizes that it "never charges mining fees or sells tokens."[1]
InterLink describes its ecosystem as a "modular, human-first architecture" that connects identity, applications, and blockchain infrastructure into a single network.[3]
The underlying chain is characterized as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 designed for real-world payments, tokenized assets, and scalable digital commerce. The project lists its technical attributes as EVM compatibility, instant settlement, the ability to "plug into" real-world assets (RWA), and quantum resistance, the last referring to cryptography intended to withstand attacks from future quantum computers.[1]
At the core of the architecture is the InterLink ID, described as a biometric-verified identity layer that ensures every user is a real, unique human.[3] The system uses face scanning and liveness detection — a technique for confirming that a live person, rather than a photo or recording, is present — so that, according to the project, users can verify their identity without exposing personal data.[3]
Verified users become "Human Nodes," which the whitepaper says help secure and maintain the integrity of the Human Network and earn InterLink tokens for their contribution.[3] The platform presents a "Verify human" element alongside features such as "Group mining" and "Mini apps."[1]
The InterLink ID powers the InterLink App, which the whitepaper calls the primary user interface for accessing decentralized mini-apps across the categories of social, gaming, AI agents, and finance.
These mini-apps are distributed through a Mini-App Marketplace.[3] Developers build these applications with the InterLink MDK (Mini-App Development Kit), which the document says provides modules for authentication, notifications, on-chain transactions, and payments. Applications are deployed and managed through a Developer Portal and interact with the network through the InterLink SDK.[3] Interlink Labs maintains a Mini-App SDK written in TypeScript as part of this tooling.[4]
To extend identity verification beyond its own apps, InterLink offers a Human Auth SDK that allows external platforms to integrate its verification, granting what the document calls "trusted access to external applications."[3]
Interlink Labs describes its broader engineering mission as building a Human Network powered by InterLink ID to enable "Unique Data Training and Decentralized Federated Learning," a machine-learning approach in which models are trained across many devices without centralizing the underlying data.[4]
The tokens earned by Human Nodes are issued and managed by the InterLink Chain, described as a decentralized blockchain that "anchors identity, reputation, and economic coordination."[3]
Within the ecosystem, the InterLink Foundation refers to its treasury holdings using the ticker labels ITL and ITLG, and names an entity called ITLX among the groups across which it plans to deploy artificial intelligence.[2]
InterLink provides a non-custodial wallet — a wallet in which the user, rather than a third party, controls the private keys — through which holders store assets, manage payments, and interact with the ecosystem. The company lists the wallet's features as the ability to "spend crypto like cash," instant transfers, automated earnings, and "unparalleled security."[1]
Payments are a stated focus of the project. The platform claims it is "Powered by Visa & Mastercard" and that its payment cards are accepted in more than 150 countries.[1]
These assertions are presented by InterLink itself. The Foundation's longer-term ambition is to position the InterLink Token to function simultaneously as a payment medium and as a reserve asset, or store of value, and to turn InterLink into an ecosystem for global payments and real-world assets.[2]
The InterLink Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization established to guide the long-term growth, governance, and sustainability of the InterLink ecosystem. It operates as a separate entity with its own executive team responsible for setting long-term strategy and for evaluating ecosystem initiatives to judge their effectiveness and support sustainable growth.[2]
The Foundation describes its organizational structure as "well-defined" in order to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficient stewardship of the ecosystem.[2]
The Foundation's functional activities span technology, funding, and institutional outreach. It recruits core developers and researchers to strengthen the network's infrastructure, and it funds builders through grants, research programs, and hackathons intended to accelerate innovation.[2]
It provides strategic direction by setting long-term priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and overseeing execution, and it manages the ITL and ITLG treasury, allocating resources with the stated aim of long-term financial sustainability.[2]
For adoption, the Foundation engages institutions and enterprises, partnering with governments and companies to drive what it calls compliant real-world adoption.[2]
The Foundation's stated goals restate and expand the project's mission: democratizing digital asset ownership by empowering one billion people worldwide to own digital assets and participate in the decentralized economy; transforming InterLink into an ecosystem for global payments and real-world assets by enabling on-chain tokenization of businesses and allowing "tens of thousands of companies" to participate in payment infrastructure and capital formation; and integrating artificial intelligence across the ecosystem to streamline operations.[2]
The planned AI integration is described as spanning the Foundation's core developers, Interlink Labs, ITLX, application developers building on InterLink, operational teams, and ecosystem ambassadors.[2]
